Lazy Summer Days

Hat- Free People (HERE, but on sale for $29.95 in stores), Top- Urban Outfitters, Shorts- Levi's via Urban Outfitters, Shoes- Urban Outfitters (HERE), Bag- Forever 21, Necklaces- Dogeared & vintage, Nails- Essie 'to buy or not to buy'

Hi everyone! I bought a new hat from Free People (on sale!) over the weekend and am so pleased that it fits so well. I have a really small head so it's hard for me to find hats that actually fit properly... I had so much fun taking these photos. I love the way these shots turned out. This little bridge is so lovely and felt like the perfect scene for me and my hat on this lazy summer (well, almost) day :) It's close to the weekend again! YAY!

Flowers + Dinosaurs

Top- Francesca's (similar HERE), Skirt- J.Crew (old), Shoes- Urban Outfitters (on sale HERE), Clutch- Mimi Boutique (sold out, but super cute similar style HERE), Watch- Michael Kors, Sunnies- Chanel, Necklaces- Dogeared & vintage, Nails- Fingers: Essie 'to buy or not to buy', Toes: Essie 'bikini so teeny'

Happy Wednesday friends! I wore a variation of this outfit with a different skirt (seen in this post HERE) over the weekend out to dinner, but didn't have time to take photos in it. So, when I went back to take some I realized that skirt I originally wore was so wrinkled I'm gonna have to take it to the cleaners to be washed and steamed. Anyway, I decided since I couldn't wear the skirt and really wanted to show you this pretty orange + floral top that I would have a little fun and create a slightly altered version of the outfit. Which is what you see here. What do you think??

P.S. I'm in love with my new shoes by Ecoté I got for only $19.99 at Urban! They look a little bit like dinosaurs to me which I'm totally diggin'. Unfortunately online (I linked to them above) they are only on sale for $39.99, so go check your local store first! They are super comfy and the perfect height. I have a feeling you will be seeing me wear these babes a lot this summer :)

An Homage to My Pants

Seen in this post HERE.

Seen in this post HERE.

I wanted to take a few minutes today to say goodbye to my pants. Au revior lovely floral skinnies, see ya lata brightly colored denim, toodaloo animal print harems. And good day to all the others I have that aren't pictured here from some of my previous outfit posts. I'll miss you guys.

Why am I bidding my pants farewell, you ask? Well, because after spending this past weekend walking around downtown New Orleans, I've been reminded that I don't live on the East or the West Coast where there is a season I think you guys call Spring. I live on the Gulf Coast. In the deep South where, by this time of year, it has already become so hot, so sticky, and so darn humid that the moment you walk out the door you feel you've stepped right into a pool of warm bath water. Instantly soaked with sweat! Yuck... Thanks for giving it to me straight NOLA.

But I digress... More time to wear fun lace and floral shorts (my fav), flirty skirts and flowy dresses. I'm always trying to look on the bright side, no matter how hard my frizzy, humid-ridden hair tries to bring me down :)

Sunday Funday (I've Found You, At Last)

Gotcha!

If you're a petite person like myself you will understand what I mean when I say it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find bangles that fit your wrists. I have to wear bracelets that are able to be tied or adjusted, so bangles have pretty much always been out of the question for me. But, no longer! I found a great site - alexandani.com - that specializes in expandable bangles. EEK! Alas, a solution to my arm candy cravings. These lovelies are going to the top of my wish list :) Beyond pumped!

Hope you all are having as Funday of a Sunday as I am. I've been in New Orleans this Memorial Day weekend for yet another bachelorette party. Great times with great friends. It's wedding season!

Dreamy Creamy

Dress- Lucca Couture via Urban Outfitters, Wedges- Rebecca Minkoff, Bag- Forever 21, Necklace- vintage (the cameo is circa 1880)

Happy Thursday! My outfit post today is a little different than usual... I'm not one to wear very tight clothing. I've never really felt comfortable in it. But I just fell in love with this cream colored dress from Lucca Couture. It's so dreamy and it reminds me of roaming around at festivals with a nice floppy hat (something on my wish list) soaking up the sun, listening to live music and browsing the art/jewelry booths. That describes a lot of the festivals we have here in Southern Louisiana during the summertime. My favorite time...

Pinky/Peachy... or Coral?

Top- local [similar HERE], Coral Pants- local [similar HERE], Wedges- Rebecca Minkoff [HERE], Clutch- Tory Burch, Watch- Michael Kors, Sunnies- Chanel, Nails- Essie 'bikini so teeny'

Hi there! I wore this outfit to dinner the other night and the first thing my boyfriend said when he picked me up was that I looked really pretty and pinky/peachy... haha. These pants are actually more of a coral hue, but it was still really sweet. Nice guy :) Hope you all are having a good start to your week!

leaves are falling all around

Top- Roxy (old) [similar HERE], Pants- Urban Outfitters [similar HERE], Wedges- ShoeMint, Bag- F21, Necklace- from my grandmother, Sunnies- Chanel, Nails- Essie 'bikini so teeny'

Hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was very relaxing... I love how these pants look up against the leaves. Almost like they are camouflaged together. You can't quite tell, but they are semi-sheer with built in shorts. And the top is probably the best purchase I've ever made. I bought it 7 or 8 years ago. I think it was about $80 and well worth it. Great summer essential for festivals and the beach. Topped off with my grandmother's necklace from the 70's :)
