My Favorite Vintage Shops on Instagram

Insta_Faves_1

Here are a few of my favorite vintage shops on Instagram right now. I've linked to all of them and also given a little description about each one below.

1) @charmschoolvintage
Insta_CSV_1
Charm School Vintage - This Austin-based shop is one of my favorites in town. I'm sure you've noticed because almost every outfit post of mine has one of their items featured. Mainly my trusty vintage Coach backpack! Plus, they sell on their IG account and honestly that's how I've scored a lot of my pieces.

2) @meekvintage
Insta_MV
Meek Vintage - Run by two sisters in Denver Colorado, this shop is so whimsical and highly curated. They even have an IG account that they sell exclusive pieces on a couple times a week @shopmeekvintage. They carry lots of petite sizes too which I appreciate, of course!

3) @mothoddities
Insta_MO
Moth Oddities - You've heard me talk about these guys before! Check out this blog post to find out more about this Minneapolis-based shop run by my friends Yana and Ian. They carry vintage from Italy, too + they're on a cross country road trip right now. So cool.

4) @wonsaponatimevintage
Insta_WV
Wonsaponatime Vintage - What really drew me to this Florida-based shop was the photography and styling of the photos on their IG account. I'm always so delighted to come across one while scrolling through my feed. Every shot is perfectly executed and just look at their space! Gorgeous.

I hope you enjoyed this post because I'll be sharing even more soon. There are so many beautiful vintage shops out there to explore and add to your feed! Let me know your thoughts on these accounts if you do go check them out (and you should!). Happy weekend, y'all!

My Top "Good Vibes" Instagram Accounts

@pieceology

I LOVE Instagram and I follow a lot of different kinds of brands and people, but some of my favorites are ones that have a little more meaning behind them then just pretty photos (although they have those to, of course). These are what I like to call my "good vibes" accounts. These consistently have either encouraging and uplifting words, positive energy, beautiful writing, inspiring quotes (not the cheesy kind), or all of the above. Whether I'm having a good day or bad one they just make me feel happy, hopeful, excited, inspired, emotional, motivated... all the feels. Here they are:

@ohhhchelsea
Chelsea is my sweet friend and takes a lot of my outfit photos you see on the blog. She always has something nice to say and reminds us to be thankful for all the things we have in life.

@liberatedheart
This is a clothing company. They post a lot from music festivals all around the word. It's a very free-spirited, wanderlust-y kind of account. Makes me want to travel the globe hopping from festival to festival.

@hippie_kids
Another clothing company. This account gives me so much wanderlust. Flowers in my hair, let's get in the car and drive to the coast. Then we'll decide to stay and never leave again.

@deercircus
Bridget has some of the most unique writing I've ever read. The way she strings words together is so beautiful. She is in on vaca in Paris right now... Her photos and captions are so gorgeous.

@dylanasuarez
Dylana is a fashion blogger whose style I really relate to. She is a photographer with a great eye and also a really beautiful writer, singer and poet.

@helloamerica_
Kristen and Matt are a young couple who left their lives back home to travel all around North America. Their journey is told through these photos. I first heard of them on the Free People blog. You can read more about their story there.

@saraheiseman
Sarah is a local Austinite. She is the type of person who makes Austin so great. Uber creative, sensitive, emotional. All the feelings shine through in her photos and her words.

I'll probably start featuring some of my favorite Instagram accounts once a month. I hope you enjoyed this and do yourself a favor- go check them out!

Cajun Style Holiday

It's Hump Day! Just wanted to drop in and say hi and to let y'all know I'm currently in Louisiana spending time with family and friends for the Thanksgiving holiday. Definitely been having a great time. I've been enjoying the following so far:

Long drives with fairy tale-like pink skies.

Food, and to be specific, cajun food, and to be even more specific, never ending bowls of seafood gumbo from out in Cajun country.

More food :) I have a huge sweet tooth, so this table at my friend's baby shower was where you could find me most of the party.

The best Saints game of the season so far with Dad! Who Dat?!

Went shopping for some new kicks. I've just recently taken up running again. OK, maybe I walk sometimes but that's beside the point. The important thing to remember here is that now my feet will be happy when I go run/walk.

OK, so that last title is kinda crappy and way too long, but that's basically what this post is. I haven't taken outfit photos in over a month. Sorry y'all. You'll just have to settle for these for now. I'm hoping to get back on track soon. Anyway have a great weekend! I might take some more insta-outfit shots over the weekend and post them on Instagram. Check me out over there @pieceology if you're interested!

Life Lately...

Finally went and checked out Mt. Bonnell a couple weeks ago. If you ever visit Austin this is a great spot to stop by for a beautiful sunset overlooking the lake.

Neon jeweled necklace and rings from H&M // Lion medallion chain is vintage (similar)

It's been so hot lately in Austin, like 106 degrees hot, so smoothies from Austin Java are necessary.

Ray-Ban mirrored sunnies are my summer go to shades // Dainty rings from H&M // Heart ring from Fortenal // Strappy heels from Zara // White nail polish is 'Blanc' by Essie

I love ATX. Pretty view of downtown from the top floor at the Hyatt Regency.

We both ordered these glasses from the Bonlook booth at the TxSC Prom night. Can't wait to get mine in the mail. I was in desperate need of new glasses!

Sooo, remember when I asked if I should color my hair white blonde?

Well, I went for it! What do you think??

Love my family! My brother finally graduate from college this past weekend. So proud.
My dress is by The Reformation.

So that's what's been up with me. What's been up with you? I hope you're having a great week so far!

30 Day Yoga Challenge Update: Week 3

 Follow me on Instagram @pieceology

I'm sure you're wondering why I have my Instagram photos as my Week 3 yoga challenge update... It's because this is all the stuff I was doing last week/weekend besides my yoga challenge :/ Now don't get me wrong, I didn't miss the entire week, but I did miss 4 days (not in a row, which I'll pat myself on the back for that) of it. It hurts to say it, but I'm not gonna bullshit with you and say it's going great. I had to go out of town last Wednesday - Sunday for a wedding so I got a bit off track within that time frame. Instead of planning accordingly, ie. early morning runs, finding a yoga studio while I was out of town, I just let myself slide.

Although, I feel OK about it, because I really have been doing pretty well besides this little lapse. I think the most important thing to remember if you're going to do something like this is to PLAN AHEAD. That's my advice... that I didn't take myself, haha! We live and we learn, right? As I'm writing this post, I've just gotten back from a sweaty hot yoga class, so there's that :) Back. On. Track. Happy Tuesday y'all!

See my other Challenge posts here and here.
